As part of the Matariki Festival, there will be a celebration at Awataha Marae, 58 Akoranga Drive, Northcote.
This is a free event, starting at 4.30am on Saturday 3rd of July, and 10.00am on Sunday 4th of July.
This celebration is held to mark Matariki as well the Marae’s 20th Anniversary.
Celebrations will include the erection of a flagpole, gifted by North Shore City Council, the maiden voyage of a Waka, (Te Manu Toroa), a Hikoi and meals together.

there will be music(several Aucland up and coming artists will be playing there stuff), Art and food!
