One person is dead after a car crash on East Coast Road, Redvale, in the Rodney District.
The crash occurred at around 3.10pm, and initial reports indicate that the two vehicles involved hit head on.
2 other people in the vehicles have been injured.
Emergency services are at the scene, and the road will remain closed whilst the crash is investigated.
Traffic diversions have been put in place.
