Chinese and Korean New Year Festival

By Claire Ahuriri

This Friday the 19th, and Saturday the 20th of February, there will be a festival to celebrate the Chinese and Korean New Year at Northcote Shopping Centre.

It is a free event, with all sorts of cultural performances, including tradition dance, taiko drunning, martial arts displays, and singing.

There will be plenty of entertainment for children, an art exhibition, and food stalls galore.

The festival starts on Friday at 6.00pm and goes through to 9.00pm.

On Saturday the festival goes from 10.00am to 3.00pm.
