Rowing the Tasman Day 5

Shaun Quincey is making steady progress as he rows single handily from Australia to New Zealand.

Shaun is following in his fathers footsteps. Colin Quincey did the voyage in 1977 and you can here an interview that was recorded shortly after he completed the journey.

Shaun departed on January 20 from Coffs Harbour.
He went to school at Takapuna Grammar and he entered this message late last night on his facebook page

“Tough day on the oars but made a good dent eastward. Plumbing passed its first ‘test’ today! Cabin newly decorated for a more homely feel.”

At 10:10 this morning Shaun was located 0′ at 1.1 knots tracking 089° True 32° 13′ 49″ S 155° 46′ 53″ E
