North Shore Mayor Andrew Williams is urging North Shore residents to make their submissions to the third Auckland governance bill before the closing date of 12 February.
“This is a very important piece of legislation, the final bill required to implement the Government’s decisions on governance arrangements in the Auckland region,” he says.
Submissions can be made on online on the www.parliament.nz website. Mayor Williams says that the bill is relatively complex, but a useful summary is also available.
All relevant information can be found on the North Shore City Council’s Auckland Governance pages.
It is expected that the Auckland governance Select Committee will hear verbal submissions in Auckland in late February.
