NS home invasion

Residents in the usually quiet North Shore suburb of Glenfield – told NS Community Radio today that they were very concerned that a home invasion had occurred so close to home.

About 2 am this morning police were called to a home in Ann McLean Drive, Glenfield, North Shore.

Police stated that a number of offenders entered the house and  a 48 year old woman suffered serious injuries, believed to have been from a crow bar. She is believed to have a broken jaw, a broken shoulder and has lost several teeth and is currently in Middlemore  hospital.

Residents told us that they lived in fear of residents in a nearby property and were unwilling to speak in fear of retaliation.

The usually quiet area currently has a strong police presence with two homes currently cordoned off.
