Onetangi Beach Races, Sunday 28 February 2010, is Auckland’s most iconic beach event and has been going for over 100 years and gets better and better. Take an early ferry to Waiheke Island and a bus will take you straight to the Beach Races.

Races, TOTE, huge raffles, Silent Auction, cafes, food stalls, competitions, TUG O WAR

For the children – a massive Sandworks competition, The Big Dig, Mad Hatter competition (bring a hat you have made and win prizes) – judging at 10.30am. Also a chance to have tea with Alice and the Mad Hatter: running races, egg and spoon for the littlies under five.
