Get involved with nature

By Claire Ahuriri

koruThis Thursday 26th November there are two events for the botanically inclined, and even for the not so botanically inclined:

- At 7.30pm at the Devonport Community House, 32 Clarence Street, Amyria Taylor, herbalist and naturopath, will speak about how to use your everyday garden weeds as remedies.

Also in attendance will be a speaker from the Devonport Community Gardens on how to remove weeds the natural way, and environmentalist author Dee Pigneguy.

- The Kaipatiki Project hold regular projects, and this week’s one, Thursday 9.30am to noon, will be on Native Plant Propagation, at Kaipatiki Projects Environment Centre & Nursery, Lauderdale Road, Birkdale, for free.

Bookings are essential so email restoration@kaipatiki.org.nz or phone Lisa on 482 1172.
