Police team investigating death of cyclist after hit-and-run increased to 20

Graham Robinson, 62, was riding along Peak Road in Helensville with a friend last month when he was hit by what the police say was a cream or white ute.

It is believed to be a 1980s or 1990s Toyota Hilux ute with a white canopy and the word Toyota in black across the rear tray.

The additional staff will allow the investigation to start a process of eliminating all similar utes in the Rodney region.

Police are asking any owners of utes which were in the area on 14 October to take their vehicle to the nearest Police station.
