The Pacific Tsunami Center has cancelled the watch on the Tsunami.
The event was triggered by an earthquake measuring 8.0 this morning near Vanuatu. A Tsunami wave did occur in the Vanuatu area but is no longer any threat to New Zealand. There are no reports of the damage resulting from the wave so far.
